JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian CHPT 3 Cycling Club (IDC3) is organizing an international event in Bali, Indonesia for Brompton Chapter 3 folding bicycle enthusiasts.
The event, named 'IDC3 Bali International Challenge,' will take place over three days from June 1-3, 2023.
The founder of IDC3, Ramdanus, stated that the event's mission is to attract Brompton bicycle enthusiasts and increase tourism in Bali, one of the most popular tourist destinations globally.
The Brompton bicycle is a handmade folding bicycle made in London, England, known for its unique features and high price tag, with fans in Indonesia willing to spend up to Rp 50 million per unit.
According to Ramdanus, the Brompton Chapter 3 is the most expensive Brompton bicycle, with a market value of more than Rp. 60 million in Indonesia. The bicycle is constructed with titanium material, making it lighter for traveling. Ramdanus stated that the bike is ideal for travel and can be easily folded and stored in the trunk while on a plane or taken on a car ride.

IDC3 currently has over 600 members from Indonesia and abroad, and the largest community of Brompton Chapter 3 enthusiasts is in Indonesia.
The committee has already received registrations from over 300 participants for the Bali International Challenge event. IDC3 members come from various Indonesian cities, including Medan, Batam, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Lampung, Tangerang, Jakarta, Bogor, Cianjur, Bandung, Cirebon, Yogyakarta, Klaten, Semarang, Surabaya, Malang, Bali, Balikpapan, Makassar, and Papua, and neighboring countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Japan.
Ramdanus hopes that Brompton cyclists worldwide will participate in the IDC3 Bali International Challenge, the community's first-ever international event.
He also aims to attract the Brompton World Challenge event to Indonesia in the future. Currently, Indonesia is the largest market for Brompton bicycles worldwide.
