JAKARTADAILY.ID – PLN (Persero), Indonesia's state-owned electricity company, is urging the public to ensure their home electricity is safe and secure during the Lebaran homecoming, in order to prevent potential electrical short circuits and accidents.
Darmawan Prasodjo, the Main Director of PLN, reminds travelers to be careful during their trips and to ensure the safety of their electrical installations before leaving their homes.
To help ensure a safe and comfortable homecoming, PLN has provided some helpful tips, including checking the electrical connection and unplugging any unnecessary electronic equipment from wall sockets.
Additionally, postpaid customers are advised to pay for electricity at the beginning of the month or before the 20th to avoid being cut off, while prepaid customers should ensure they have enough electricity tokens and backup supplies if necessary.
PLN also recommends checking the electrical installation in the house before leaving for home, especially if there are frequent short circuits, and to do so with the help of an authorized registered installer. If electric power at home is insufficient, it is suggested to add power officially to PLN using the Bright Ramadan 2023 added power promo.
Finally, PLN advises reporting to the local RT and RW and leaving the house to the nearest neighbors who are not going home for Eid, to ensure the safety of the house during the homecoming period.
"We urge all people to check their electricity before traveling for homecoming to stay safe and comfortable," said Darmawan.
Customers can access PLN services through the PLN Mobile application, available on the PlayStore and App Store, which has received high ratings from users for service improvements at PLN.
