JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesia government and Russia will soon realize cooperation in the field of Halal Product Assurance (JPH).
This plan was sparked in a meeting between the Head of the Guarantee Agency Halal Products (BPJPH) Ministry of Religion, Muhammad Aqil Irham, and the Head of the Russian Federal Accreditation Service Nazarii Skrypnik, at the BPJPH Office, Monday, June 20, 2022.
During the meeting, the Head of BPJPH, Muhammad Aqil Irham, appreciated Russia's enthusiasm to realize the JPH collaboration. He explained that currently, the halal policy in Indonesia has become mandatory, not voluntary.
"So this cooperation agreement with Russia helps us (Indonesia) to continue to socialize the obligation of halal certification, this Memorandom of Understanding (MoU) is very possible for us to do immediately," explained Aqil publish on the ministry of religion website, Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Currently, based on data held by BPJPH until June 20, 2022, as many as 88 Foreign Halal Institutions (LHLN) from 35 countries from various parts of the world have registered on the ptsp.halal.go.id page.
Meanwhile, the head of Russia's Federal Accreditation Service, Nazarii Skrypnik, explained that Russia wants cooperation to be carried out immediately.
“Russia is one of the top 5 exporters of halal products in the world. Russia wants to know in detail how the MoU and MRA (Mutual Recognition Agreements) process guarantees Halal Products in Indonesia and we hope that this can be done as soon as possible, "said Nazarii.
