Indonesia and Austria to Follow-Up Cooperation in Capacity Building for Human Resources

JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah appreciates the cooperation that exists between Indonesia and Austria, especially in the field of increasing human resource capacity through vocational training.

The Minister of Manpower made this statement during a bilateral meeting with the Austrian Minister of Manpower, Martin Kocher, in Vienna, Austria, on Wednesday 15 June 2022 local time.

"I appreciate the Austrian Government for the excellent cooperation between the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower and the Austrian Government," said Ida Fauziah in a press release published by the Ministry of Manpower, Thursday, June 16, 2022.

Ida Fauziah said the cooperation that had been carried out between the Ministry of Manpower and the Austrian Government was in the form of developing technical training at the Center for Vocational and Productivity Improvement (BBPVP) Serang.

In addition, to increase human resources through the Maritime Job Training Center Development project in 3 locations, namely Medan, Serang, and Makassar, financed through a soft loan from the Austrian Government.

Ida also appreciated the Austrian Government for its commitment to support efforts to improve the competence and qualifications of Indonesian workers with international standards.

According to him, collaboration like this is very much needed so that the acceleration of the policy program to increase the competence of Indonesian human resources is faster.

"But more importantly, there is a transfer of knowledge, technology, skills, and best practices from Austria," concluded Ida Fauziah.
