JAKARTADAILY.ID – The brave British soldier captured by the Russian army while fighting for Ukraine has been sentenced to death after being found guilty of working as a mercenary.
British soldiers fighting for Ukraine will be executed after a court hearing in Russia.
The Russian-backed Supreme Court of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has sentenced Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner to death on charges they fought against Vladimir Putin's soldiers as mercenaries.
Apart from British soldiers, the Moroccan soldier Saadoun Brahim is also awaiting execution for his involvement in the war, Russia's RIA Novosti news agency reports.
The three men were given one month by the court to appeal the damning decision.

Aslin and Pinner are known to have admitted to having participated in training in the context of carrying out terrorist activities in violation of Article 232 of the DPR's Criminal Code.
Pinner and Brahim also pleaded guilty to acts aimed at seizing power by force (Article 323 of the DPR Criminal Code).
The British government was "deeply concerned" by the news, with the spokesman adding, having spoken several times that prisoners of war should not be exploited for political ends.
