JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian actor and martial artist Iko Uwais through his attorney made a statement regarding the allegations made against him.

On Sunday, June 12, 2022, the Bekasi City Metro Police reported that Iko allegedly assaulted a man with the initials RD over a payment dispute.

Iko's attorney, Leo Sagala said that RD, the man who reported Iko, had made false accusations about his client. RD according to Leo, has distorted the facts.

"Well, the first thing we want to convey is, that Rudi, the man who reported Iko to Bekasi Metro Police has distorted the facts in his report," Leo said, quoted from PMJnews, an official website of Metro Jaya Police, Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

"In his report as released in the media stated that our client refused to make payment for the invoice that had been made and even beat him up," he added.

Leo explained that there was an agreement between Iko and Rudi with a nominal value of Rp. 300 million. However, after half payment was made, Rudi was deemed not to have completed his work and had run away from responsibility.

"Finally, an agreement was made, in which Rudi will provide interior services with an agreement of Rp 300 million. Our client has made payments in two terms, term I and term II with a total payment of Rp 150 million. Well, it turns out that even after our client paid Rp 150 million, it still doesn't work. RD did not get the job done. In fact, he tends to run away from responsibilities. When our client asks, he doesn't get a good response," he explained.

“After not getting a good response, our client asked the appointed contractor to contact Rudi. And it turns out, what the contractor got was that it was suspected that Rudi together with his wife had made statements that defame our client," he explained.
