"Mr. Mochamad Ridwan Kamil and his wife have let go (Eril) and believe that Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz, their beloved son, has died from drowning," said Rachmat Syafei in a West Java MUI circular letter signed, Thursday, June 2, 2022.

Rachmat Syafei said, in a meeting with Ridwan Kamil's family on Thursday night, June 2, 2022, Eril's family have shown an explanation from the Indonesian Embassy in Switzerland, which said the authorities in Bern had changed the status of the search for Emmeril Khan Mumtadz from "missing person" to "drowned person."
