JAKARTADAILY.ID -- A group acting in the name of freedom of expression has actually sparked a big riot in Sweden.
The group, led by Danish-Swedish politician and Islam critic Rasmus Paludan, has sparked anger among Muslims in Sweden.
Rasmus Paludan speaks in public and on social media, if his country adheres to democracy so that everyone is free to speak.
Prior to the massive mass action, Swedish-Danish politician and Islam critic Rasmus Paludan insulted Islam by plotting to burn the Koran.
Apparently, the action that Rasmus Paludan called freedom of speech, turned out to be a storm.
Hundreds of Muslims took to the streets expressing 'retribution for freedom' of speech by Swedish-Danish politician and Islam critic Rasmus Paludan.
Residents' anger sparked violent clashes with police and prompted condemnation from Sweden's Justice Minister, Morgan Johansson.
The riots and violence occurred in the Swedish city of Linköping in connection with the burning of the Koran by Rasmus Paludan, who had previously received permission to hold a public meeting.
Even before the burning of the Qur'an, clashes had occurred between Muslims and the police who provided security for Rasmus Paludan.

In video from the scene, the man can be seen standing on the roof of a police car and chanting 'Allahu akbar'.
"I didn't see an undamaged police car," one witness told the Aftonbladet newspaper.
Police had to retreat and regroup after officers were stoned and police cars were smashed and burned.
Three injured police officers were taken to hospital. Subsequently, the riots spread to the city of Norrköping and involved hundreds of people.
