Ministry of Tourism Launches 'Beti Dewi,' Tour Packages for Tourism Villages

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Ministry of Tourism launched the Creative Buy Tourism Village (Beti Dewi) program to promote tourism village packages spread throughout Indonesia.

In this program, the Ministry of Tourism is working with an Online Travel Agent (OTA), namely Mister Aladin, who has prepared a special channel to sell attractive packages to tourist villages.

This year's target is 100 tour packages from the 100 best tourist villages according to the Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI) in 2021 and 2022.

Deputy for Marketing of the Ministry of Tourism, Ni Made Ayu Marthini said these packages were curated by the managers of the Tourism Village together with the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) in their respective villages.

"Since the Ministry of Tourism launched the Tourism Village Award in 2021, we wanted to promote and sell tour packages to these villages and create new holiday destinations for the Indonesian public," said Made in a press release on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

Ni Made Ayu added that for now, the Ministry of Tourism is working with the Mister Aladin booking platform, however, it will be looking to expand its partnerships in the near future.

Including increasing the choice of tour packages where in 2023 500 village tourism packages will be prepared and 1,000 village tourism packages in 2024.

Chief Operating Officer of Mister Aladin, Nitha Sudewo, said that her party was very enthusiastic about being able to support the Beti Dewi program in order to increase tourist visits to tourist villages.

Especially in welcoming the Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 holidays, they are providing special promos.

"To welcome the Christmas and New Years' holidays, we are giving a 25 percent discount specifically for tourism village products.

This promo lasts for one month until next month," said Nitha Sudewo.
