JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Minister of Tourism Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno officially opened the Waroeng Windsor restaurant in London on Monday, November 7, 2022, as Indonesia's form of "culinary diplomacy" through the ministry's "Spice Up the World" program.
On this occasion, Sandiaga expressed his gratitude to all parties, especially the Diaspora and Indonesia Small Medium Enterprise (ISME).
The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also expressed its appreciation to BNI for supporting the Spice Up The World program. Waroeng Windsor is the first funding in the Spice Up The World program.
"Kemenprekraf has a Spice Up The World program which is a program designed to promote Indonesian spices to the world," he said.
"If China has the Silk Road as a trade route, Indonesia has this route to introduce Indonesia's various spices," the ministry writes in the press release.
"We hope that in this program we can develop 400 thousand Indonesian restaurants around the world. Most of them are in Europe, some are in the UK (UK), America, and spread across the Asian region," said Sandiaga.

Therefore, he said, he wanted to continue to collaborate with BNI and open up opportunities to collaborate with all parties to develop the Spice Up The World program.
The Spice Up the World program targets to encourage the export of spices which are projected to reach trillions of US dollars while promoting Indonesian cuisine to the world.
"Through the existing restaurants and the newly built ones, we hope they can promote Indonesian gastronomy to the world. We congratulate you on the opening of the Warung Windsor restaurant, hopefully, it will bring a blessing," said Sandiaga Uno.
He hopes that there will be more entrepreneurs in the UK who can open more restaurants to introduce Indonesian spices and culinary delights.
"Hopefully more Indonesian restaurants will open in the UK, everywhere, and at the same time encourage the revival of Indonesian food and spices," said Sandiaga Uno.
"Thank you also to ISME which in a short time was able to develop and open up opportunities for more Indonesian entrepreneurs to open businesses abroad," he said.
