"All the way to Kampung Ugar, our eyes are spoiled with beautiful views, as well as extraordinary cultural attractions," said Tourism Minister Sandiaga in a press release.

From their appearance, these islands resemble a group of islands such as in Raja Ampat in Raja Ampat Regency with various small islands around it in the form of limestone islands (karst).

The small islands that stretch to form the Ugar Archipelago also have archaeological traces in the form of prehistoric paintings on the walls of karst cliffs.

The population in Ugar Village is predominantly Muslim. An elongated settlement on a village road with an icon of a domed mosque. Most of the residents of Ugar Village work as fishermen.

Uniquely, the community still continues to maintain the mosque's architecture, in the form of a combination of church and mosque forms.

This combination is seen as a manifestation of the strong tolerance between religions in the Fakfak Regency.
