JAKARTADAILY.ID – Minister of Tourism Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno supports the 2022 Lake Poso Festival as an event that motivates the economic revival of Central Sulawesi as well as efforts to create job opportunities for people in the region.
In the Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno at the Sapta Pesona Building, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 5, 2022, Minister of Tourism Sandiaga said the festival themed "The Magnificent Enchantment of Central Sulawesi" which will be held on 20-22 October 2022 in Tentena is a momentum to introduce tourism potential and creative economy in Poso and its surroundings.
On the same occasion, Deputy Governor of Central Sulawesi Ma'mun Amir added that the annual festival which has been held since 1989 was carried out with the aim of strengthening synergies for 13 districts and cities in Central Sulawesi.
"Poso is a place for natural recreation that is beautiful and interesting. In addition, in this festival the 13 regencies and cities in Central Sulawesi will also be involved in showing off the potential that exists in their region," he said.
Meanwhile, Poso Regent Verna Gladies Merry Inkiriwang said that the 2022 Lake Poso Festival is also a momentum to introduce Poso as a safe and tourist-friendly city. So, he also invited the Minister of Tourism Sandiaga to attend the Lake Poso Festival.
"If the Minister is present, this will be one of the gongs that there will be economic recovery and tourism recovery in Poso. At the same time, we will dismiss the slanted issues and stigma that have been embedded in Poso. Poso is now safe, and comfortable, and Poso continues to improve in the future in preparing the tourism sector," said Verna.
