JAKARTADAILY.ID – Tepus Tourism Village in Gunung Kidul Regency has a topographic beauty in the form of mountains directly adjacent to the beach, it brings Tepus Tourism Village in Gunung Kidul Regency to be included in the top 50 best tourist villages in the 2022 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI) event.

Tepus Tourism Village is 70 kilometers from Yogyakarta City. In Tepus Village itself, there are 12 beaches that can be visited by tourists. Six of them are known as the Virgin Beach because it is still quiet and not known to many people.

Not only superior in nature-based tourism potential, but Tepus Tourism Village is also rich in other attractions. Such as arts and culture that are continuously maintained such as Jathilan art, Ketoprak art, Karawitan, Rasulan, Clean Telaga, Kenduri, Send Dowa, Nglengani Pari, Pasang Gawar and Larungan.

Minister of Tourism Sandiaga Uno during his visit to the 50 Best Tourism Villages of ADWI 2022 in Tepus Tourism Village, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, said that Gunung Kidul Regency is certainly the best tourist village in the world, namely Nglanggeran. However, this year there is a Tepus Tourism Village which has made it into the top 50 of ADWI.

“Gunung Kidul is famous for its natural beauty, here in Tepus Tourism Village we are invited to feel the sensation of a tourist village on the coast. One of them is the virgin beach activity which is the result of collaboration with the Jeep community," said Tourism Minister Sandiaga.

"But it's not only natural beauty. The culture here is also interesting to show to the public. We feel that this tourist village can develop and advance in class following the competitive and sustainable Nglanggeran Tourism Village," said Sandiaga.

“Tourists come not only to look around but also to buy MSME products that are sold in tourist villages. It is hoped that there will be economic creation and revival so that the target of 1.1 million new jobs in 2021 and 4.4 million jobs in 2024 can be realized," said the Minister of Tourism in a press release published on Kemenparekraf.co.id Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

To visit this beach, tourists are only charged a retribution fee of IDR 10,000. The waves of the south coast with white sand along the shore make tourists feel at home in the village which is branded as Dewi Kampus (Madani Tepus Village Tourism Village).
