"What's interesting is that Cinema on The Beach combines iconic tourist destinations, such as Labuan Bajo which is being developed by the government as one of the 5 Super Priority Destinations. And this Cinema on The Beach has an immediate impact on the community's economy, I really appreciate this," said Sandiaga during "The Weekly Brief With Sandi Uno" at the Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, Monday, August 29, 2022.
Cinema on The Beach not only introduces Indonesian films to foreign tourists but also becomes an attraction that can promote tourism and regional culture because regional arts and cultural attractions are also featured in this event.
"I hope we can work together, but the cooperation will first select 3 locations, I also want to invite the Ministry of Education, our government is focused on collaborating," said Sandiaga.

"In addition, there is a possibility that we can collaborate with the Monthly Film Festival, we have only developed the Monthly Film Festival this year, so this can also be a means apart from feature films, but also short films that can also encourage the promotion of both the film itself and tourism destinations," said Sandiaga.
Initiator of Cinema on The Beach, Lola Amaria, hopes that there will be cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in supporting the nation's children's films as well as a tool to promote tourist destinations.
"I prefer that collaboration involves various elements, not just one or two to make it easier if this Ministry of Tourism is not only from the economy but tourism. With the existence of Cinema on The Beach, it is not just a show, but also promotes tourism, as well as promoting MSMEs," said Lola.
