JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian Minister of Tourism Sandiaga Uno appreciates the policy of reducing flight ticket prices which will be carried out in a short time by the Ministry of SEOs.

Minister of Tourism, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, said that the 15 percent drop in plane ticket prices was like a breath of fresh air for the tourism industry.

Sandiaga said that domestic airlines are rapidly adding to their fleet, from Garuda Indonesia, Citilink, to the Lion Group, not to mention increasing the number of their planes.

According to Sandiaga, international airlines also support ticket price reductions. Airline such as AirAsia and several international airlines also gives their support so that airfare prices are expected to be more affordable, especially when entering the peak holiday period at the end of the year.

Sandiaga believes that the increase in air ticket prices that had occurred over a long period of time has the potential to reduce tourist visits to tourist destinations in Indonesia.

"We will encourage the addition of new flight routes," said Sandiaga Uno on Monday, August 29, 2022.

Minister Sandiaga also said that he was working on the management of a single authority for the Management of Priority Destinations in the Tourism Bill to prevent coordination that would create distortions among the community.

It is hoped that this can minimize the potential for conflict and facilitate the arrangement of sustainable tourism. It also provides benefits for the surrounding population while preserving its sustainability," said Sandiaga.
