JAKARTADAILY.ID -- Jakarta International E-Prix or commonly abbreviated as Jakarta E-Prix will soon be held in the Ancol tourist area, Jakarta, Indonesia on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Didn't get a ticket to watch live? Don't worry, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan shows how to do. Just turn on your TV or watch online on youtube.
"For friends who haven't had the chance to watch live, you can also watch the Jakarta E-Prix live via the ABB Formula E Youtube channel and other TV channels," Anies said in his latest post on Instagram @aniesbaswedan, Friday night, June 3, 2022.
Anies also showed television channels and television stations broadcasting the first electric car race in Jakarta in his post on Instagram. Several television stations that will broadcast the car race include MetroTV, RCTI, RCTI+ application, iNews, and Spotv2.
Initially, Anies also reminded residents of Jakarta and surrounding areas who wanted to watch the car race live.
“In just a matter of hours the Jakarta E-Prix will be held for the first time at the circuit of our proud city, Jakarta! Don't miss out on watching your favorite racers compete at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit, Ancol! Immediately access the official website Jakartaeprixofficial.com and get tickets while supplies last!,” he said.

Previously, Anies also revealed through his social media account when he directly inspected the circuit to be used in the Jakarta E-Prix race. Anies inspects the race track in Ancol with Alberto Longo, Co Founder of Formula-E.
“Together with Alberto Longo, Co Founder of Formula-E, we checked the track at Ancol. Alhamdulillah, they were all amazed and amazed by the extraordinary work of the construction team," said Anies.
Anies said that a total of 22 drivers from 11 teams will compete in Jakarta on Saturday. Formula E participating teams come from various countries, from Germany, England, France, Monaco, United States, India to China. Several Formula E drivers have even become Formula 1 drivers, including Stoffel Vandoorne, Pascal Wehrlein, and Sebastien Buemi.
"Welcome to Jakarta to all committees, racers, and Jakarta E-Prix 2022 officials! It is an honor for Jakarta to host Formula E in the ninth race series for the 2021-2022 season. We hope that the race at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) will be fierce, exciting, and be an interesting spectacle," said Anies.
According to Anies, the Formula E event will be an interesting spectacle because managing an electric-powered car is not easy, it is even more complicated than a Formula 1 car because it has to take battery energy into account.
However, the main message of the Jakarta E-Prix is clear, which sends a message to the world that Jakarta is a global city that dares to take a transformative role in tackling climate change, creating a livable environment, and ensuring sustainable mobility change. ***
