JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian government has ended restrictions related to COVID-19. Following this policy, the Indonesian Ministry of Health would issue further regulations. One of them allows positive citizens of Covid-19 to continue traveling as long as they wear a mask.
"If it's positive, just report it, and if you report Careful Protection, it won't be issued," said the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday 30 December 2022.
"So it doesn't mean he can't go anywhere, but if he is positive he knows, he wears a mask so he doesn't infect other people, that's what we will do gradually," he added.

Even so, Budi still encourages residents who are positive for Covid-19 to stay at home. Even if you have to go, the government doesn't prohibit it as long as you keep wearing a mask.
"So even more so the government does not intervene but appeals to public participation now they understand, 'oh if I get it, I can infect it to other people, I'd better stay at home until it's negative,'" he explained.
“But if you really have to go, do we forbid it? We don't ban it either, but it's better because you know this can infect others, so don't take off your mask, keep wearing a mask, unless he's in his own place," Budi continued.
On the same occasion, Budi also mentioned the use of PCR and antigen tests in the future. According to Budi, PCR and antigen are not mandatory.
"So, PCR test friends, is the antigen removed? Maybe the most appropriate answer is this, it will not be something that is required or ordered by the government. But we hope it will become a public awareness," he said.
The government will gradually close the operation of the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Jakarta, starting December 31, 2022.
