JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartanto stated that the government plans to separate local transmission cases from imported confirmed cases.
The assessment from these separated cases will then determine the level of Community Activity Restrictions or PPKM. The decision was made due to the high number of positive cases from international arrivals.
"The most cases are cases from international arrivals, so of course, the addition of (imported) cases is different from cases of local transmission," he said in Jakarta on Thursday.

The government, continued Airlangga, will take extra precautions in determining the level of security for the nine entry points of international arrivals.
The nine points are Soekarno Hatta Airport, Banten; Juanda Airport, East Java; Sam Ratulangi Airport, North Sulawesi; Batam Port and Tanjungpinang Port, Riau Islands; Nunukan Harbor, North Kalimantan; Cross-border Post (PLBN) Aruk and PLBN Entikong, West Kalimantan and PLBN Motaain, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

"The records of these international arrivals will be recorded separately from the region. So that the examples that occurred at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and the quarantine at the Kemayoran Hospital are not combined with the increase in cases in DKI Jakarta. Likewise in the Riau Islands, from the Batam Sea Port it is not combined with the Riau Islands," he concluded. (*)
