JAKARTADAILY.ID - We all know that nowadays buying things can be done through online platforms. It is so easy because you don't even have to get out of your bed to purchase your most-craved double cheeseburger, the newest BTS album, or your favorite denim jacket brand.

However, there's one thing that people keep complaining about when they're making an online purchase, and it's the admin fee. No matter which online platform you'll choose, there's always be an admin fee for every purchase. The fee differs and it depends on the platform itself.

One of the reasons why you're charged with an admin fee is because it will be used to maintain the company's service quality. For example, an online shop platform has to do daily, weekly, or monthly maintenance for their office's necessities such as office tools, machines, and buildings, even though their platform is on an online basis.

According to the definition in accounting, admin fees are defined as costs used to coordinate production and product marketing activities. So, it's not only to maintain the system but it is also used as compensation fees for processing data related to your payments at certain banks or through digital wallets.

In addition, Investree explains on their website that payments in an online marketplace also involve third parties, which require additional operational costs. This is what you then pay in the form of admin fees for your own needs.

Knowing this information hopefully can change everyone's perspective about paying an admin fee and encourage people to continue supporting online platforms for a better experience in the future.
